He will appear onJuly 31 at Barby Tel Aviv and August 1 at Zappa Shuni Amphiteater.
Marley, the eldest of his father’s seven children, has remained loyal to his reggae roots, since first learning to play at age eight and joining his father and his band, the Wailers, at age 10.
Now 49, he has earned eight Grammy awards and 14 Grammy nominations during his career.
Marley’s first album with his band, the Melody Makers, came out when he was 17 years old, and two of his early albums, “Conscious Party” and “One Bright Day,” won two Grammy awards. His first solo album was “Dragonfly” in 2003, and his next, “Love is My Religion” in 2006, won another Grammy.
Marley has always had a special connection to Israel through his marriage to Orly Agai, who is Israeli. They are raising their four children according to Rastafarian and Jewish traditions. He has three older children from previous relationships.
