Sizzla's Concert In California Derailed By Gays

Sizzla Fire Burn Gays At Sting 30 {VIDEO}
Sizzla KalonjiSizzla is still feeling some fallout because of past issued with gays.

The reggae/dancehall icon was booked to perform at the Mateel Community Center in Redway, CA, on June 13th, but as of the time of this publication, the show was canceled. The promoter of the concert, Earshot Entertainment, and the management of the venue, have been getting pressured by the LGBT community to cancel the concert. Seems the pressure got too much and they have now axed the planned concert.

Tickets for the concert is still on sale on Eventbrite for $45 so it’s still unclear if the promoter is trying to work something out or find a new venue, but the Mateel Community Center has decided not to host the show. Marlon Asher, Orlando Octave, and Guerrilla Takeover are booked alongside Sizzle who is the main act on the show.

Sizzla Kalonji has been experiencing issues with the gay community for the past decade. Over the years, several of his concerts in the United States, Canada, and Europe have been affected by protest from the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community who labeled his music “murder music.”

The LGBT community often cites some of Sizzla’s old music as a reference when speaking out against reggae music being “murder music.” They often calls out artists like Buju Banton, Beenie Man, Capleton, and Bounty Killer for inciting violence against their members. Sizzla, Capleton, and Beenie Man, are among a handful of reggae/dancehall artists who signed the Reggae Compassionate Act in 2007. But over the years, the LGBT community often single out some artists for not complying with the petition.

Some artists have also complained in the past that the document was badly worded. Sizzla’s management team couldn’t be reached for a comment on this development. Urban Islandz will keep you posted as more information becomes available.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Sizzla Kalonji’s beef with the gay community is nowhere near over.

The reggae/dancehall icon was in fine form at last Thursday’s Sting concert at Jamworld, Portmore and gays were not spared the fire.

Kalonji’s 25-minute set was laced with anti-gay lyrics and he held nothing back. The “Dry Cry” singer also condemned those folks with non traditional sexual preferences.

    “I don’t care who want vex, Jamaica naan support no same sex… Them say Sizzla you sing too much anti-gay lyrics, mi just read the bible and get away with lyrics, like machine gun Sizzla blaze more lyrics, education with don’t go stray with the lyrics, burn out the lesbian burn out the gays with the lyrics,” Sizzla rhyme on stage.

Sizzla’s United States work visa was recently cancelled over his issues with gays, putting a halt to his U.S. tour. However, his management have petitioned for it to be reinstated for the new tour date set for March 2014.

It will be interesting to see the turn of events after Sizzla’s performance at Sting.

The event, held on December 26, was broadcast live on pay-per-view and online.

Not fair, they don't want a particular Artist to express their emotions, feelings, through their Art Which is his passion. He like any other artist has a message to but because Gay is the agenda and he speaks against it they give him trouble. He's been sending that message through his music looong time, y shut him up now.,

If that's the fukking case why aren't they attacking & banning all artist around the world in all these crooked industries for disrespecting women in their songs and talking about selling drugs),doing drugs or drugging someone huhh, these Artist should be banned from performing any where as well. They don't do it because they pick what they want us to put up with (Gay,homos,filth) and can't nobody speak against it that's what's happening they singling out Artist who r saying don't be gay and the ones that are gay are over there saying be gay so we have to find a way to shut up the non gay. My mind is in chaos over this stupid gay shit its the center of everyday on TV sitcoms on the street in yo bathroom under the sink they everywhere lmfao
