Watch Bounty Killer Dissed Mavado, Talks Going Gospel

Bounty Killer was among the top performers on last week’s Reggae Sumfest dancehall night.

The dancehall veteran delivered a sizzling set of some of his classic singles back from the 1990s to some of his more recent hits. During his performance he did take a few shots at his former protege Mavado.

During an interview with Winford Williams of OnStage after his set, Bounty Killer says he would want to clash Mavado on a Sumfest or Sting stage.

“They bring war to onstage and that is the wrong stage,” Bounty Killer said. “Don’t go throw insults that your not willing to back and your not going to sing a song and your not going to step to me on stage.. If you want to talk that stuff come on a Sumfest stage or Sting or come on a ghetto stage somewhere.”

Bounty Killer also has some issues with the state of dancehall music and the state of Jamaica.

“The state of the music and the state of our morals… it’s deep because when you see the church has to come out and take a stance it is getting to an epidemic.”
