Shenseea Drops Raunchy Visuals “Good Comfort” Amid Criticism Over Police Outfit

Shenseea Bids Late Mom Final Farewell In Emotional Send Off With Ding Dong, Romeich & More

Shenseea is slaying as an alluring lady cop in her new steamy visuals.

Dancehall singjay Shenseea dropped another provocative music video, and this time it’s for her song “Good Comfort,” which was released last month. The song that talks about the comfortable sweet spot that Shenseea prides herself on, was curated by popular Jamaican producer DJ Frass. Shenseea released the new music video on Monday, and it’s all anyone can talk about.

In the visuals directed by Ruption and RD Studios JA, Shenseea trods a narrow line between steamy lockdown lovemaking and desirable abuse of authority. The singer is in character as a sultry female officer of the law visiting an inmate for what appears to be a conjugal visit. She transforms into a raunchy uniformed tease as she performs seductive acts of love on her orange jumpsuit-clad love interest.

“Him say, ‘Baby love, be my love’ / Underneath have good comfort / Type ah p***y weh mek him come right back / Neva get a gyal like me, me / Me say, ‘Yes my love, would you love?’ / Gimme a dirtier f**k than dirt pon mat / Bare sweat ah run like Bolt pon track / And me have good comfort,” Shenseea sings in the hook.
The tone of the lead line in the chorus gives off a Busy Signal “Comfort Zone” vibe, which is interesting because the song is similarly titled “Good Comfort.” The music video has already garnered over 200K views in the short time since its premiere. Shenyeng took to Instagram to announce its arrival with a short clip from the video along with the caption, “Would you resist?” she asked about her short stint as a police officer. “Watch now, link in bio,” she added.

Shenseea bid her mother a final farewell.

Dancehall star Shenseea laid her mom to rest this afternoon with a quiet and quaint send off attended by close friends and supporters from the industry. Weeks ago, on June 26, word came that the young chart-topper’s mom had passed on, and she’s been receiving condolences, sentimental gifts, and positive reassurance from her fans around the world- even her sworn rival Jada Kingdom. Today, Shenseea said her final goodbyes to the vibrant, selfless soul who served as her confidante, backbone and support system, surrounded by a handful of close friends, in keeping with social distancing protocols.
Romain Virgo, labelmates Ding Dong and Teejay, Tarrus Riley, Rvssian as well as manager and mentor Romeich Major came out to show solace and comfort for the “Loodi” hitmaker in those last heart-rending moments.

Shenseea has been clearly distraught throughout the last few weeks, taking her time to grieve her loss while thanking her fans immensely for their kind gestures and well wishes. The funeral was equally uplifting, with musical tributes from a few of the gracious stars in attendance. Romain Virgo gave a stirring rendition of “Have Thine Own Way, Lord” while Tarrus Riley’s touching acoustic tribute featured lush backing vocals as well as renowned Jamaican saxophonist Dean Fraser.

The “Blessed” singer herself appeared strong despite her overwhelming sadness and managed to deliver the eulogy before the small intimate gathering. Understanding that this will still be a tough time for Shenseea despite today’s closure, we again extend sincere condolences to the young songstress on behalf of the Urban Islandz team. While words won’t bring back Momma Shengyeng, continue in your path as you know she would have wanted while she watches with a smile as an angel on your shoulder.
